A Devon man has been named as the victim of a fatal crash on the A30

A North Devon man who has died in a crash on the A30 in Cornwall. Martin John Snowden, from Holsworthy, died after being involved in a crash at Plusha, near Launceston, on the evening of May 2.

The 38-year-old was traveling in a Honda Civic when his car collided with a Range Rover Evoque. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people traveling in the vehicle were taken to Derriford Hospital, including one victim in a serious condition. The two people in the Range Rover were taken to Treliske Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The Coroner in Cornwall identified the deceased as Mr Snowden and an inquest into his death was opened on May 30 and adjourned for inquiries to be completed before a full hearing at Truro Coroner’s Court.

At the time of the fatal crash, Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver of the Honda, a 45-year-old man, had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
