Miraculous escape for couple after car plunges off cliff near Bristol

Two people had a narrow escape when their vehicle fell off a cliff in Clevedon. Emergency services were called to Ladye Bay just after three-thirty yesterday afternoon (Monday, June 10).

Firefighters from Clevedon, Portishead, Southmead and Temple rushed to the scene. They worked with paramedics and coastguard teams to save the victims before they were taken to hospital.




Clevedon Fire Brigade said: “Just after 3.30pm, crews from Clevedon, Portishead, Southmead and Temple Fire Brigades responded to reports of a car that had accidentally driven over the edge of Ladye Bay.

“Teams working alongside South West Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust Hazard Area Response Team and Clevedon Coastguard Rescue Team secured the vehicle before rescuing 2 people from the vehicle who were taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution. “, reports Somerset Live.
