Police have launched an urgent appeal for a missing 69-year-old man from Leicester

Police have launched an urgent appeal for the public’s help to find a missing Leicester man. Desmond James was last seen on Tuesday morning (June 11).

Leicestershire Police said he was walking along Highfield Street towards London Road at around 9am. Officers are concerned for his welfare and anyone who knows where he is now is urged to get in touch.

Police said in an appeal for information about his whereabouts: “Desmond is white, aged 69, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with chin-length white curly hair and a white beard adorned. He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded jacket. , navy sweatpants and navy slippers.

“If you can help locate him, please contact 101 quoting incident 241 of June 11.”
