Call launched Godiva Festival volunteers

AN APPEAL has been launched to find volunteers for this year’s Godiva Festival.

The request of the organizers of the event comes as part of the National Voluntary Work that started on Monday and continues until Sunday (May 3-9).

Godiva is one of the UK’s most anticipated music festivals, held annually in Coventry.

There are a number of exciting opportunities available within the Godiva Festival team to support the event team.

Volunteers support outdoor street performances, work behind the scenes as part of the artist liaison team, accompany street performers, support arts and crafts activities and greet visitors and help them find their way around the city.

In addition to the range of health and social benefits that volunteering brings, some incentives offered to Godiva Festival volunteers may include access to the festival with a free ticket for a family friend, free Godiva Festival volunteer t-shirts and a free lunch voucher.

Volunteers also get a unique experience at a large-scale event.

This year – when it takes place between 5 and 7 July – the Godiva Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The organizers are working in partnership with EnV, an award-winning national voluntary organization based in Coventry, to launch and manage this exciting opportunity.

The event promises three days of unrivaled music, entertainment and family fun in Coventry’s stunning War Memorial Park.
