However, it seems their hand was forced. They don’t want to lose Conway on the cheap when his deal expires next summer, so with a new contract still unsigned, City have no choice but to sell.

This has, unsurprisingly, sparked interests elsewhere. Leicester City, Wolves, Celtic and Rangers could all be interesting options for Conway, so time will tell exactly where he ends up.

A chance to increase his stock

What could work in Bristol City’s favor is Conway’s call-up to Scotland’s EURO 2024 squad.

He was not initially named in the squad, but an injury to forward Lyndon Dykes brought him into the game.

Conway only made his debut last week, coming off the bench to face Finland. However, if he can make an impact in Steve Clarke’s side and find the back of the net in the European Championships, that could boost the striker’s stock.

This will only help Bristol City get a good amount for their graduate, while Conway could attract even more interest.
