Man arrested after death of 93-year-old woman in Sheffield

Police say they were called last Sunday.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult following the death of a Sheffield pensioner.

A 93-year-old man was found dead on a property in Leslie Road on Sunday morning.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said:

“We were called at 6.40am last Sunday (May 5) by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to reports of a 93-year-old woman found deceased in a property in Leslie Road, Sheffield.

“A 58-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
