The LFC Foundation congratulates FEFA on their award-winning season

This season FEFA students, who offer a range of football and educational opportunities for 16-19 year olds, have won an impressive five trophies and become the first college to win the National Youth League treble Football.

The FEFA Women’s team also finished second in the league and won promotion, drawing inspiration from the success and support of LFC Women, with whom they share their base.

Off the pitch, students have completed over 600 hours of volunteering across LFC Foundation programs in the Liverpool City Region and the college has also seen the launch of two new qualifications with the HE Academy, Loughborough College and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Matt Parish, Chief Executive, LFC Foundation, said: “On behalf of the LFC Foundation, I would like to extend our congratulations to the FEFA students and staff for their record year. This is our fourth year working alongside the college, which allows us as a charity to extend our reach and support more local people in our communities.”

Robbie Fowler, Principal at FEFA, said: “We are extremely proud of what our students and staff have achieved this year. Their dedication, hard work and commitment paid off both on and off the field.

“Providing a range of pathways and opportunities for our students is at the heart of what we do to support local young people and help them succeed in their careers.

“I would like to thank Matt Parish and the LFC Foundation team for their support of our successful partnership, and Matt Beard and LFC Women for being so accommodating and supportive in our first year working together at the Center of Training AXA Melwood. Their continued support has undoubtedly contributed to our success this year, which I have no doubt will continue.”

Applications are now open for September 2024. Visit www.fowleracademy9.com for more information.
