HOME Manchester announces a new theater season

HOME announces its new theater season, offering an eclectic mix of shows that promise to captivate, entertain and inspire audiences of all ages. This season, which runs from August 2024 to February 2025, features a range of events including a musical adaptation of a Christmas classic, a fun-filled family festival, plus gripping drama, thought-provoking theatre, stand-up comedy and much more.

Audiences can look forward to an immersive mix of interactive experiences, uplifting stories, powerful narratives and unique performances that highlight both local and international talent.

This Christmas, join HOME for a festive musical ca Miracle on the 34thth The street take the scene between Friday, Dec. 6 – Tuesday, Dec. 31. Based on the classic story, this brand new production set in New York City is a tale of hope, joy and a sprinkle of festive magic. As a large department store is on the verge of collapse and their upcoming Christmas sale must be a success, when Santa pulls out at the last minute, they are left with a kind-hearted stranger who is convinced he is the real deal to save day, but when he is arrested, the fate of Christmas is in the hands of a child named Susan, who must restore the world’s faith in Santa Claus.

Breach Theater presents a new musical inspired by the 1980s After Act between Tuesday, November 12 – Saturday, November 16. The brand-new production about pride, protest and rapping lesbians is funny, camp and unapologetic, but also a stark expose of the political game used to pass repressive laws. Thatcher’s Section 28, which banned the “promotion” of homosexuality in schools, was the landmark legislation that silenced a generation. Enjoy I wish FROM Friday, November 29 – Sunday, December 8 as an award-winning theater artist and singer, Le Gateau Chocolat transforms into The Wish Giver for an unforgettable theatrical and musical extravaganza that the whole family will cherish.

PUSH Festival 2025 takes place between Friday, January 24 – Saturday, February 8 for our annual celebration of North West creative talent. In two weeks, our stages, screens and spaces will be dedicated to showcasing fantastic work from across the region. Outstanding poet and musician Reece Williams returns HOME on Tuesday, February 18 – Saturday, February 22 to present his stage show This Kind of Black after a sell out in 2023.

Tickets for our new season went on sale to HOME Friends from Tuesday 4 June and HOME Members on Monday 10 June, with tickets on general sale from Wednesday 12 June.
