Human remains found in search of Glastonbury woman who went missing five months ago

Human remains were discovered during the search for a missing 51-year-old woman in Glastonbury, police have confirmed.

Carol was reported missing on January 24 this year and was known to frequent the Glastonbury and Street areas. Official identification has not yet taken place, but police have informed the woman’s family.

Officers renewed an appeal for Carol just eight days ago on Tuesday, June 4, but today released an update saying human remains were found during a search of the area.

A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Officers searching for Carol, who is missing from Glastonbury, have found human remains near Glastonbury. While official identification has yet to take place, Carol’s family has been updated. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. time.”
