McDonald’s is testing a new vegan dessert in select restaurants

McDonald’s has announced a new vegan dessert for its customers. The fast food chain will trial the sweets in a number of selected restaurants in parts of England and Ireland.

The new McDonald’s Vegan Scoop is a sweet frozen dessert that will be released this summer. It’s available in two different flavors – chocolate and strawberry – and has a vegan seal of approval from the Vegetarian Society.




The dessert will not be available nationwide yet. Priced at £1.59 each, McDonald’s Vegan Scoop will be available in 52 restaurants across the North West of England, including Manchester, Rochdale, Ardwick, Bury, Denton, Stockport and Ashton-Under-Lyne from Wednesday 12 June until Tuesday, September. 3.

McDonald’s also introduces the new popsicle. McFreezy is a frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and puree, available in orange or mango and pineapple flavors.

The McFreezy will also be available in a select number of restaurants until September 3rd. McDonald’s Vegan Scoop and McFreezy are just two of the many accredited vegan products available at McDonald’s, including McPlant and Vegetable Deluxe.

But that’s not all. McDonald’s will serve Oreo Frappes for frappe fans in UK restaurants too. Available in restaurants only from Wednesday 26 June until 3 September, it is priced at £3.09 for a regular and £3.39 for a large.

The brand will be available to serve 2,000 free servings of his delicious potatoes every day of every festival he will perform at. This year’s festival line-up includes Rockstar Energy presents Parklife, Manchester, Isle of Wight, Wireless and Leeds Festival.

And in memory of TV presenter Caroline Flack, McDonald’s will return to Englefield House for Flackstock 2024. McDonald’s presence will be in both the main arena and VIP areas of the festivals to celebrate their guests as VIPs (Very Important Potatoes ). It will also celebrate the Euro summer with a few little surprises along the way.
