Home Bargains brings out Christmas decorations in June and shoppers are not impressed

Shoppers were left unimpressed after seeing Home Bargains’ latest Instagram post. The budget retailer took to the social media platform to upload a photo of an aisle full of bright red Christmas decorations.

In the caption, the store wrote: “Since summer isn’t happening this year. Can we start getting excited for Christmas?”

It didn’t take long for disinterested comments to start rolling in as thousands of shoppers reminded Home Bargains just how far away December is.

Jayne replied: “I can’t think of anything worse!!” Annabelle added: “Ridiculous, put it all away until November.” Adele said: “Absolutely ridiculous.” Kim said, “You’re kidding.” Denise wrote: “Surely this can’t be real!? No!? Just not!”

Brad pointed out: “Thursday June 20, 2024 – Sunday, September 22, 2024 is summer… Gerra flu!” Temptress typed: “It can’t be real? It’s so ridiculous.” Jones suggested, “Give summer a chance, technically summer has just started.”

However, many others were pleased that the store was talking about Christmas so early. One shopper seemed very excited at the prospect of an early Christmas, writing: “Omg yes yes yes I can’t wait to see this aisle.”

A second said, “Yes, yes, yes, I’ll bring it.” Megan said: “It’s always a time to get excited about Christmas.” Another added: “Absolutely yes!! There are only 197 bedrooms after all.”

Others focused more on other seasonal events to start thinking about Christmas. Lea wrote: “Can we please do Fall/Halloween first.” AJ asked, “I have a question right now!!!! Where is our Halloween stuff!!!!” Rose wrote: “Awesome can we have Halloween first?”

Some found the funny part though and laughed at the joke. Annock said, “Think people had bypasses of their sense of humor.” Karla joked: “So many don’t get it, it’s a joke.”
