Found “secret” merchandise from Eras Tour – what I had to ask to get

Taylor Swift brings her UK tour to Liverpool this week – and I managed to catch up on the ‘early merch days’ ahead of the main shows. While I was (of course) on the hunt for some Swiftie merchandise, I was also on the hunt for a ‘secret’ item seen at previous UK shows.

Ahead of the singer’s shows in Edinburgh last week, Taylor Swift fan Hannah Coventry had some advice for those heading to the merch stands. During her trip to browse the Swiftie merchandise, Hannah noticed the staff was carrying an item that wasn’t on the list – an Eras Tour poncho, according to GlasgowLive.

In a Facebook post, Hannah said: “Edinburgh Swifties, my friend and I went to Murrayfield tonight to pick up some stock and noticed one of the staff was wearing a vintage rain poncho! They didn’t advertise them so I asked the girl at the produce stand and she said it was a “secret item” that they don’t advertise.

“They cost £8 each and were so cute we had to buy them. Just a little tip for anyone getting merchandise tomorrow, just ask.”

With Hannah’s advice in mind, I made the trip to Anfield Superstore on June 11th. Since I visited around 5pm, I expected long lines and a long wait, but I couldn’t have been more wrong – in fact, it was so quiet that my sister and I passed through security barriers and served immediately.

A variety of merchandise was available, including everything from water bottles and Eras Tour posters to t-shirts, hoodies and even a “Bejewelled” bracelet. I quickly snapped up a quarter zip hoodie (£70) and couldn’t resist the wristlet (£30), before asking the big question – did they have the poncho in stock?

The member of staff looked a little confused at first before quickly announcing that he had them and that they were priced at £8. I added this to my shipping and paid – I was in the store less than 10 minutes and most of that time was spent deciding what to get.

I’m heading to see Taylor at Anfield on Friday (June 14) and with the weather forecast suggesting rain in the late afternoon, I think the poncho will prove to be a good investment. The waterproof poncho is branded with the Eras Tour print – giving me the chance to stay dry and show my Taylor love at the same time.

The Eras Tour merchandise was great and I definitely would have loved to buy some more, but I was actually disappointed to find that there was no The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD) merchandise available. Taylor Swift’s online store has a wide range of TTPD products, including hoodies, t-shirts, journals and jewelry.

Buy Taylor Swift resale tickets here

There are still Taylor Swift resale tickets available right now through various resale websites such as viagogo and Living Chairs which allow fans to purchase tickets from other fans who no longer wish to attend the shows for which they purchased tickets.

While they may be a bit more expensive than face value, they guarantee you the perfect seat at the venue – whether it’s the front or back seats.

Sites like viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say that tickets should not be resold after the initial purchase and will not be valid for concert admission.

Fans attending live events with tickets purchased through resale websites are advised to double-check ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets may be canceled if found to be second-hand. As a result, fans buy at their own risk.

That said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favorite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.”
