Birmingham’s cheapest streets to buy homes as ‘bargain’ properties sell for £150,000

The cheapest areas to buy a house in Birmingham have been revealed, giving an insight into where house hunters could find a bargain and get more for their money. Properties sell for as little as £150,000 in the cheapest locations.

That compares with over half a million pounds in the poshest and leafiest suburbs. And while in many cases you get what you pay for, there can also be plenty of bargains for those who look hard enough.

These areas are also within easy reach of Birmingham city centre, so ideal for commuters. Areas were ranked for median home prices based on year-to-date sales through April.

At the other end of the scale, the most expensive properties are in the Sutton Coldfield areas of Four Oaks, Mere Green, Little Aston and Streetly.
