Meet Syracuse’s man in orange: #74, OL Jakob Bradford

It’s time to start preparing for the 2024 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player while getting to know a lot of new faces to start the Fran Brown era.

It follows…

Name: Jacob Bradford

Position: Offensive lineman

Year: Senior Red Shirt

Height: 6’5″

Weight: 309 lbs.

Hometown: Brooklyn Park, MN

High school: Center of the Park

Previous College: Iowa Central CC

Statistics 2023: Played in every game, starting 10 of them at both guard positions.

2024 projections: Bradford looks to keep a starting spot with Fran Brown’s staff. He will be key once again in keeping Kyle McCord clean after allowing just four sacks last season. Fortunately, durability doesn’t appear to be an issue for Bradford, so consistency in the trenches should greatly benefit the Orange front.

How did it get here?: Bradford received another DI offer from Virginia Tech. Southern Miss, UAB, UMass, East Carolina and Arkansas State were some of the other schools interested in Bradford.

What did the recruitment sites say?: Three stars from 247sports, two stars from Rivals.

Social Media Information:

Interesting nugget of interest: Bradford’s previous school, Iowa Central CC, has produced an NFL talent before. Former Packers and Eagles offensive lineman Ron Hallstrom began his college career at Iowa Central before joining Iowa en route to being a first-round draft pick.
