Leicester City’s next manager looks for live Q&A with Potter, Cooper, Corberan and transfers

Leicester City’s managerial search is progressing, apparently focusing on three candidates.

Graham Potter, Carlos Corberan and Steve Cooper appear to be front-runners for the job, with City hoping to have a successor to Enzo Maresca in place well before pre-season starts next month. There’s a lot to like about each of the candidates.

Potter’s style of play looks like a continuation of the work City did under Maresca, Cooper has built a superb relationship with the Nottingham Forest fans which has helped their survival bids, while Corberan’s adaptability could help the club to negotiate some tougher opponents in the new campaign.

Beyond finding a new boss, City still has Profit and Sustainability Rules concerns to deal with, with a case to be heard and regulations to comply with. That probably means sales before the end of June.

They need to build a squad that they believe can survive as well and there are a few areas in the squad that need strengthening. Despite City’s financial constraints, rumors of big deals continue, with England striker Tammy Abraham, Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert and Europa Conference League winner David Carmo among those recently linked.
