Live: Woman trapped in overturned vehicle as road closed near Wendron

A woman was trapped inside an overturned vehicle after a collision today (Thursday June 13). The car overturned on the B3297 near Wendron shortly before 11.30am and the road was closed in both directions in the afternoon.

The emergency services went to the scene and tried to save the woman from the overturned car. The woman was recovered safely and suffered minor injuries, according to a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police.




The road was closed between the junctions for Coverack Bridges and Poldark Mine. Delays have been reported and Google Maps shows slow moving traffic in the area.

A police spokesman said: “Police, ambulance and fire services were called this morning to reports of an overturned vehicle on the B3297 near Wendron. Female trapped in vehicle but has since been removed. Only minor injuries.”

According to the Inrix traffic monitoring system, the accident was resolved around 1:20 p.m.
