Jurgen Klopp takes to Instagram to tell Liverpool fans he is returning to Anfield

“So, three things I had to do today. No, I had two. A barber’s appointment with Umut then… we’re going out to Anfield. First time I’m not going to a football match, but in the stands and watching at Taylor Rapid.

“So yeah, I’m not Taylor made obvious…but Taylor done. Let’s go to Anfield and have a good night. A great night would be cool. See you there.”

Supporters thought Klopp bid a final farewell last month with an event at Liverpool’s M&S Arena as he looked back on an incredible eight-and-a-half year spell.

Klopp was seen in London later that week to watch former club Borussia Dortmund lose the Champions League final to Real Madrid. Asked by Liverpool’s website what his summer plans were, he replied: “Holiday! The Champions League final with Dortmund, I was invited, so we will watch that.

“It’s not like I tried a lot (to go on vacation before), so I didn’t have time. I’ve had time, but a summer vacation for me at least at the end of the season was like falling into the first lounge chair available and I had a phone call here and talked to agents, athletic directors, stuff like that.

“No training, yes, but the rest was pretty much still. So that means I haven’t seen one percent of the world for nothing. Now we’re not going to do anything, we’re going to watch the Euros here and there, (I’m looking forward to that and then a vacation doing nothing and then the plan starts traveling and we’ll see how that goes.”
