Live: Large tree falls and blocks busy road in Cornwall

Motorists are being warned to take care as a huge tree has fallen, blocking a busy road in Cornwall this evening (Thursday June 13). A large tree fell on the B3247 at Hessenford this evening, blocking the road completely.

A cordon is believed to be in place at the scene to allow crews to clear the blockage. It is not yet known how long the road will be closed.

An eyewitness told CornwallLive: “Massive tree on the b3247 Hessenford road. The police have been contacted and are deploying officers to set up a cordon and contact the highways to bring down some heavy machinery.”
