Hamza Mohammed: Man found mortally wounded on street named

A man who died after being found seriously injured on a street in Sheffield has been named as 23-year-old Hamza Mohammed.

Mr Mohammed was found suffering from a head injury at approximately 4.35pm BST on Saturday on Staniforth Road in Darnall.

He was taken to hospital but died on Monday, with South Yorkshire Police saying a murder investigation has since been launched.

A 23-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of robbery, had been released on bail. while another man, 25, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender, remained in custody, police said.
