Man who nibbled boy’s ear in weird World Snooker film breaks his silence

Stefano Voci, a forklift operator, was caught on camera biting and swallowing the boy at The Crucible in Sheffield, but police closed their investigation this week.

The incident was captured live on television(BBC)

The man caught on camera nibbling a child’s ear at the World Snooker Championships was an Italian tourist, according to reports.

Stefano Voci, 43, is said to have defended the incident, during which he bit and swallowed the boy at The Crucible in Sheffield city centre. It happened when seven-time World Snooker Championship winner Stephen Hendry appeared on live TV while analyzing a match in progress and many viewers expressed their outrage online.

It is now understood that the child is a relative of Mr Voci. Mr Voci, an Italian national, wrote a heartfelt post on social media in which he described the behavior as a normal means of expressing affection towards a loved one.

Mr Voci, a forklift operator, wrote online: “There are many clarifications to be made but everything is in process (sic). I was just someone sharing love and affection like anyone else who was maliciously exposed.”

But South Yorkshire Police investigated the timing until the force closed its investigation earlier this week. Police said “officers determined no crime had been committed.”

In his post, Mr Voci, who was visiting relatives in Sheffield from his home in Desio, near Milan, went on to identify his relationship with the boy, which we are not saying would help protect the youngster’s identity.

“My family is fine and closer than ever, I don’t care that my face is all over social media with photo montages and fake posts. Leave my family alone. God bless you all and wish you all the best best wishes,” continued Mr. Voci. .

In footage from April, the boy appeared unsettled when he noticed he could be seen on the live feed, then smiled and waved at the camera as the man backed away.
