OPP are investigating road rage incident involving a firearm in Essa

Nottawasaga OPP and City of Barrie Police responded on February 20 to the incident on County Road 90

Provincial police are investigating an alleged road rage incident involving a firearm that occurred earlier this year in Essa commune.

Shortly after 3pm on February 20th, Nottawasaga OPP and City of Barrie Police responded to an incident that occurred on County Road 90 just west of Barrie.

Police received a complaint about a white Infinity SUV driving erratically and at a high rate of speed.

According to the OPP, the occupants of the SUV allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim.

Police hope members of the public can help identify and locate the three suspects.

All are described as wearing darker clothing, with tanned skin and aged between 18 and 25.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was wearing a dark beanie with sunglasses, while the passenger appeared to have short brown hair.

Nottawasaga OPP say they located the vehicle in question and identified it as stolen. It was confiscated.

The three men remain outstanding.
