Billy Joel at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff has a rare chance to see the star perform

Billy Joel, one of the best-selling acts of our time, is set to perform a one-off show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday 9 August. With hits such as Uptown Girl, Just The Way You Are, The Longest Time and Vienna under his belt, this event is not to be missed.

This exclusive performance at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium marks the only opportunity to see the star live in Europe. Billy will be joined by special guest Chris Isaak, an American singer-songwriter who wrote songs such as Wicked Game and Blue Hotel.

Tickets went on sale last December, but there are still plenty to go. Entertainment company Ticketmaster still sells standard tickets, with the cheapest Restricted View ticket costing £126.25 each.

The site also offers resale tickets – tickets to sit on the pitch are priced at £152.95 and for a seated ticket facing the stage, this will set you back £300 .

Ticket resale site Viagogo has over 600 tickets available to see Billy Joel, with prices starting from £115. There are currently 8 listings for standing pitch tickets in front of the stage which cost £192, while the back is priced at £140.

Music lovers should be aware to remain vigilant against ticket scams. According to Action Fraud, £6.7m was lost to ticket scams in 2023.

However, Viagogo’s ticket guarantee states: “When you buy tickets on Viagogo, viagogo guarantees that you will receive the tickets you paid for in time for the event. In the rare event that a problem occurs and the original ticket seller does not offer you the tickets listed for sale, viagogo will, at its discretion, review tickets of comparable prices and offer you replacement tickets at no additional cost, or Viagogo will issue you a reimbursement for the cost of the tickets.”
