Woman injured in A45 Coventry accident

A woman has been injured after a crash on a major road in Coventry. It happened on the A45 earlier today (Thursday June 13).

Paramedics were called to the junction of Broad Lane and the A45 at around 1.45pm. Crews discovered two cars were involved in a collision near Wing Wah.

Medics discovered that a woman had suffered minor injuries. She was treated at the scene before being taken to Coventry University Hospital in Walsgrave.

Motorists have been urged to avoid the A45 Dunchurch motorway, with miles of queues reported earlier today (June 13). Since then, congestion has cleared on the main road.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Paramedics were sent to the scene of a reported RTC at the junction of Broad Lane and the A45 in Coventry at 1.45pm. A woman was assessed and treated for minor injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We were called to a collision involving two cars at the junction of Broad Lane and Dunchurch Highway in Coventry just after 1.15pm today (June 13).
