Lib Dem voters are ‘most satisfied’, according to a new poll

Liberal Democrat voters are most likely to rate their libido as high or very high, according to new research from sexual wellness brand Lovehoney. But while 59% of Lib Dems say they have a high drive, Labor voters have the lowest satisfaction rate, with 21% rating their libido as low or very low.

Lib Dem supporters were the most likely to say they were satisfied or very satisfied (59%) – as well as the most likely to do so every day (9%).

Annabelle Knight, sex and relationship expert at Lovehoney, said: “Looking at the data, it’s no surprise that those who are willing to try new things, communicate with their partners and talk openly about sex have the best sex lives . Especially during stressful times like election periods, sex is a great way to relax and connect with your partner (or even yourself).”

Annabelle shares her top tips for climbing the satisfaction surveys:

1. Have a clear manifesto: Just as a solid manifesto is essential in politics, understanding and establishing what you want in the bedroom is extremely important to a satisfying sex life. Have open conversations with your partner and don’t be afraid to tell them what you like and what you want in the bedroom.

2. Update old tired policies: When it comes to sex, variety is the spice of life, and implementing tired old policies over and over again in the bedroom is unlikely to help keep things interesting.

3. Keep the debate out of the bedroom: While we’re all for communication and talking, sometimes it’s best to leave the debate outside the bedroom—a sure-fire mood killer is discussing politics during playtime. Stick to pleasure over politics in the bedroom.
