The council and police issue an update on Travelers at London Road Park and Ride

WILTSHIRE Council has published an update on Travelers at London Road Park and Ride.

The group settled in earlier this week with caravans, trucks, cars and tents.

Cllr Nick Holder, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: “We are aware of an unauthorized encampment at London Road Park and Ride in Salisbury and our enforcement officers will visit the site in accordance with the necessary procedures.”

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police added: “This is a civil matter which is being handled by Wiltshire Council.

“We have not received any reports related to criminal matters.”
