Emergency recall of Missouri sandwiches due to fatal infections

The list is long with all the sandwiches that were just recalled in Missouri due to the potential risk of fatal infection.

The Food and Drug Administration just issued an emergency bulletin of sandwiches it says were available in Missouri after contamination with Listeria monocytogenes was discovered. They say this can cause serious problems even among healthy people with high fevers, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. But for the very young or very old and/or those with weakened immune systems, they warn that it causes fatal infections. Miscarriages and stillbirths are possible for a pregnant woman.

These sandwiches were available in Arkansas, California, Maryland, MissouriOhio, Pennsylvania and Texas according to the FDA bulletin.
