Leeds United ‘know what’s at stake’ in play-off prediction

Former Leeds United winger Jermaine Pennant says it will be tough for his old side to negotiate the play-offs after missing out on an automatic promotion spot, but he is backing Daniel Farke and Co to do their job.

The Whites need to dust off the disappointment of their poor home form in a grueling Championship season, with their two-legged play-off semi-final against Norwich City starting on Sunday.

The winners of that tie will face either Southampton or West Bromwich Albion at Wembley at the end of May for a place in the top flight next season. Like Leeds, Saints are favorites to reach the final and Pennant admits it is difficult to name.

However, he is backing Leeds to get an edge over their rivals and return to the Premier League after just one season away.

“I’m backing Leeds United to win the play-off against Southampton,” he told FastestPayoutOnlineCasino.com. “I think they are probably the strongest team in the play-offs but it will be difficult because we know it doesn’t matter who the best team is.

“We’ve seen it happen, we know whoever finishes sixth can have enough. Leeds are obviously favourites, followed by Southampton, who beat them on the last day of the season, so it will be tough.
