Police confirm the body found near Glenfield Hospital is a 36-year-old man reported missing

A body found in Leicestershire is that of missing man Daniel Ludkin, police have confirmed. The 36-year-old was last seen in Glenfield’s Groby Road, near Glenfield Hospital, at around 9.05am on Tuesday.

Efforts to find him led to a public appeal for help before a body was discovered on Wednesday evening (June 12) in an area off Groby Road. It was believed to be Mr. Ludkin’s.

The official identification has now taken place. Police added that specially trained officers were continuing to provide support to Mr Ludkin’s family.

Officers added that Mr Ludkin’s death was not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been informed.
