Liverpool FC issue ‘please be aware’ warning to Taylor Swift fans going to Anfield concert

Liverpool FC have issued a warning to fans attending the Taylor Swift concert at Anfield.

The world’s biggest pop star will play the second show of her record-breaking Eras tour at Anfield on Friday, before a final show tomorrow night. Thousands of fans will once again travel to L4 for the sold out shows.

A statement was issued on the club’s official X account to warn fans planning to buy alcohol at events. It said: “If you are attending any of the remaining concerts at Anfield, please note that provisional driving licenses cannot be accepted as proof of age to purchase alcohol at the stadium.

“Please bring an alternative ID.” A provisional driver’s license is approved by the government, so it is widely accepted as a form of identification.

The club responded to a fan query to confirm that a full driving license is accepted as a form of ID at the event. People took to the comments to share their confusion after the warning.

Rebekka said, “You guys know that a full driver’s license and a provisional driver’s license are both authenticated and issued by the same authority.”
