SUPER LEAGUE club Catalans Dragons have been dropped from the race for Wests Tigers center Brent Naden.

Naden, who has been offered to the northern hemisphere side by new Western chief executive Shane Richardson, but the Catalans are not in the running despite being linked with a move to the French side.

That’s according Daily Telegraph who claimed the publication had contacted the Catalans for comment, to which a club source replied: “The English press have also nominated the Catalans as a potential landing spot for Naden. Naden, who is also free to move on at the end of the season despite being contracted to the Tigers, will not be joining the French club.

“A contact with the Catalans said the club has no interest in pursuing the outside back.”

Meanwhile, Hull KR have also been linked with a move for Naden.

The 28-year-old has come up through the ranks with the Penrith Panthers, captaining the Under-20s to a Premiership and being named on the bench in the National Youth Competitions Team of the Year in 2015.

Naden made his NRL debut in 2019, scoring 24 tries in 37 appearances for the Mountain Men before moving to the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2022.

However, the center made just eight appearances before moving to the Tigers but was deemed surplus to requirements at the Concord club following Benji Marshall’s promotion to head coach.
