What’s On This Week – 6.14.24 – The Bloom

I’m listening to big band music right now, which got me thinking, what is my favorite kind of music? It’s a confusing question that I’m glad I don’t have an answer to. But one thing is certain: if it’s live music, it will cast a magical spell on its listeners, regardless of gender. And perhaps the best part of all is that we’re just getting into our live concert series in Lake County. If you haven’t been to Kelseyville’s Kickin’ it in the Country street dance, Lakeport’s Concerts in the Park, or Clearlake’s Austin Park concerts, you’re missing out. And the fun is just getting started all summer long!

On a different note, Jonah will share with you a little local history about how Adams Spring Resort got its electricity, quite possibly even before San Francisco. It’s a great read. Then Kathleen Scavone will tell us about mourning doves, followed by the Music Guide, good news and more local history. With my big band music still playing in the background, I got a good feel for this weekend, Lake County!
