Detective Inspector Steve Street said: “Knife crime has no place in our communities. We continue to conduct traffic stops, warrants and field searches to get guns off our streets, but the assistance of members of the public who come forward with information about such incidents is vital to keeping families and residents safe.

“We know that those involved in drug trafficking have often used threats, intimidation and violence to maintain their illicit trade. As in this case, the public can play a vital role in helping us locate people suspected of involvement in gun or drug use.

“If you have any information, including who is carrying, using or storing knives or guns, please come forward so we can continue to disrupt criminals and bring them to justice.” First and foremost, for all the latest news from across the UK every hour on Hits Radio on DAB, at hitsradio.co.uk and on the Hits Radio app.
