Model killers, 12, exposed by blood-stained clothing, ‘bleached’ gun and incriminating phone evidence

Police have revealed how they found and busted two 12-year-old criminals following a brutal machete attack in Wolverhampton. Officers investigating the murder of 19-year-old Shawn Seesahai found a “bleached” machete hidden under a bed and seized blood-stained clothes from a laundry basket.

Shawn, who traveled to the UK from Anguilla for eye surgery, had been living in Birmingham for around six months when he was stabbed to death in Wolverhampton. He was on the Stowlawn playing fields with a friend on November 13 last year when they were accosted by a group of youths and moments later Shawn was fatally wounded.

An autopsy later indicated the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest. There was also a second “significant” knife wound to Shawn’s head and several lacerations.

West Midlands Police cordoned off the scene, in the East Park area of the city, overnight for forensic examinations to take place. Officers have also started trawling CCTV and speaking to witnesses.

The two 12-year-old boys, who cannot be named because of their age, were arrested the following evening. The force revealed that a machete, which the youth had bleached in an attempt to cover his tracks, was found in a storage space under his bed. A laundry basket at one of the boys’ homes also contained a tracksuit with blood stains on it.

A mobile phone was seized and forensically analyzed, revealing several images of large knives and weapons. There was also a recent search for “how many criminal records can you have to leave the country?”.

Witnesses told the officer the two boys were at the scene, which was supported by forensic work on the phone, which placed them there at the time of the fatal attack. However, during police interviews, both boys, who denied murder, refused to answer any further questions.
