Rialto Plaza is gearing up to host “unforgettable” Oktoberfest events this year

Coventry venue Rialto Plaza in Coundon will host Oktoberfest this year. The venue will transform into a “hub of Bavarian entertainment” that will be “bigger and better” than ever over four nights, organizers say.

Rialto Plaza will be decorated with all the hallmarks of a traditional Bavarian Bier Halle, with blue and white decor, disco balls, chandeliers, colorful drapes, communal tables and a stage that will feature live music straight from Munich.

Organizers say it will be an “unforgettable evening” with live music, pints of German beer, authentic German cuisine and various animated entertainment. The food will include a selection of Bavarian classics from the famous Bratwurst and sauerkraut to Frankfurters and more.

Guests can also participate in various games with a chance to win prizes and there will be a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed. An Oompah band is expected to provide the soundtrack for the evening, plus a live DJ to keep the “party going” with the “latest beats”.

Audience participation is “encouraged” at the event, with a sing-along for everyone to join in the fun, creating an “unforgettable” sense of Oktoberfest joy. The night will also feature a selection of German-inspired cocktails for guests to enjoy.

A Rialto Plaza spokesperson said: “This is a night not to be missed! For an evening of beer drinking, sausage eating, shirt dressing, table dancing and merriment, book your tickets now to secure your spot or you’ll be sorry you missed it!”
