Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers declares her love for her soap co-star

Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers starred in the long-running series from 2021, but until recently her appearances were often few and far between.

The actress plays DS Lisa Swain, a role that is often only needed when a major crime has been committed on the Street. However, thanks to the wrongful imprisonment of Roy Cropper, Vicky has appeared regularly in recent months and now has a permanent role in Corrie.

In March, she told her many followers on social media: “DS Swain is here to stay. Needless to say, I’m thrilled! Thank you for your congratulatory messages and support. It is highly appreciated.”

As well as becoming a firm favorite with viewers, she is reportedly close to some of her TV colleagues away from the ITV set.

Corrie co-star Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, shared an update on Friday 10 May as she celebrates her 43rd birthday. Along with a series of photos of herself enjoying her special day, Sally said: “Spoilt rotten (yellow heart emoji) #birthdaylove #bestfriends #lovelyhusband.”

Fans were quick to wish Sally well, with many saying she looks fantastic for 43. DS Swain actress Vicky was clearly feeling the love too when she told her: ‘Happy birthday. We love you so much.”

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor, added: ‘Happy birthday gorgeous girl’, while Nina Lucas actress Mollie Gallagher said: ‘Aww happy birthday hope you had the best day xxx”.
