UK weather maps are burning sizzling red with a 25C heatwave set to hit

UK weather maps turned red, with temperatures finally reaching 25C in a June heatwave. According to weather maps from WX Charts, using Met Desk data, the heatwave will peak on Friday, June 28 – after a gray and miserable sixth month of the year.

The Met Office outlook for June 19 to June 28 reads: “Initially good conditions are most likely to prevail for most, with more changeable conditions with cloud and some limited rain in the far north and northwest, temperatures will probably near or slightly above average Although even during this period a few showers may occur during the day.




“However, there is a small chance of an alternative scenario where initially a cloud patch could extend north-west over Europe and bring several days of heavy rain and fairly warm/humid conditions to the south- east. During the last week of June, warmer than average conditions are more likely than cooler than average.

“Precipitation looks quite variable, with an increased chance of drier conditions, at least in the south.” And the outlook for June 29 to July 13, published by the Met Office on Friday, June 14, appears to support the prediction of a mixed bag as we head into the middle of the seventh month of the year.

It says: “There is little sign of any type of weather pattern dominating this period. As such, typical UK conditions are most likely with a mix of weather types. sunny weather, but there will also be showers or longer periods of rain at times.

“Currently the only signals, weak as they are, suggest that rain and showers will tend to be more likely to the north and west, with any longer drier interludes favoring the south. Temperatures are most likely to be close to or slightly above climatological. average.”
