Colton Saucerman – Back to do it again… – Sheffield Steelers

A second year for Colton Saucerman with the Steelers.

Sheffield Steelers are delighted to confirm the return of Colton Saucerman for a second season with the Grand Slam Champions.

Saunceman played 57 league, cup and playoff games for the Steelers last year, scoring 7 goals and 41 points.

In announcing the deal, head coach Aaron Fox said, “Colton had an outstanding year for us offensively last year and was instrumental in PP being first in the league.

“He was also +22 and we could match him against anyone in the league. Colton is a great competitor and is willing to support teammates when needed

“I also think it was clear to see what a key player he was for our group, I’m delighted to welcome him back to our group and look forward to working with him for another season”

Colton Saucerman is back home in North America right now and commented “We have such a special season and a special group of players, it’s very rare for a group to get along as well as we all did last year.

“Every single player had the same buy-in from day one, so special to do what we did with that group, the culture, the Brotherhood was incredible.

“The hardest thing to do in sport is to repeat, but that’s the challenge, to test ourselves against the best. We know other teams will improve and there will be a target behind us. Everyone will be pulling for us.

“In the end I had to come back so we could decide and defend our titles”

Of course, with the league win, Colton was excited about the challenge of the CHL “It’s a great achievement for our club to be part of that competition and for the City to host these huge games.

“The Champions League was a draw for me, it’s exciting to play against these European teams and I can’t wait for the test they will provide”
