LFC announce return ahead of Taylor Swift’s final Anfield concert

Liverpool FC have announced a change for fans attending Taylor Swift’s final concert at Anfield.

Last night saw Taylor stop the concert at one point to thank the amazing crowd as she spoke of her regrets for the city. Thousands of fans attended yesterday and were warned about buying alcohol.

The club’s X account read: “If you are attending any of the remaining concerts at Anfield, please note that provisional driving licenses cannot be accepted as proof of age to purchase alcohol at the stadium. Please bring an alternative ID”.

A provisional driver’s license is approved by the government, so it is widely accepted as a form of identification. The club responded to a fan query to confirm that a full driving license is accepted as a form of ID at the event.

However, the club have now reversed their decision. On the Liverpool FC Help account, which helps fans with questions about concerts and football matches, the club said earlier this afternoon: “To all Taylor Swift fans attending tonight. The decision has been made that provisional driver’s licenses will be accepted for alcohol ID.”

As on previous days, hundreds of Swifties arrived at Anfield very early, hoping to either get a good seat in front of the stage or get their hands on merchandise from the LFC club shop.
