Suspect named after child sexually assaulted near Burger King

A suspect has been named after a child was sexually assaulted near a Burger King.

Mohamed Alhadi, of Halton Brook Avenue, Runcorn, was arrested at around 3.15pm on Wednesday 8 May and has since been charged with common assault and two counts of inciting a child aged between 13 and 15 to engage in penetrative sexual activities.




Alhadi, 25, appeared at Chester Crown Court today (Friday 10 May) and was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 13 May.

The charges relate to incidents which took place between 2.40pm and 3.15pm on Tuesday, May 7, in City Fields Lane, next to Burger King in Runcorn and Halton Brook Avenue, Runcorn.

Constable Haddon Hunter, from Runcorn Local Policing Unit, said: “We understand that these incidents will have caused considerable concern in the local community and I hope that these charges will provide some reassurance.
