Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis ‘may not attend’ Trooping the Color with mum Kate

Three members of the royal family could be absent from Trooping the Color after the Princess of Wales revealed she will be attending.

The event, which celebrates the King’s official birthday, is set to take place in London on Saturday (June 15) and the family are expected to grace Buckingham Palace’s iconic balcony.




Speculation has been rife among royal experts as to whether Kate will be in attendance as she continues her recovery from cancer treatment. However, today (June 14) Kate revealed she will be attending.

Speaking on the HELLO Right Royal podcast, ITV’s Lizzie Robinson revealed that the presence of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis could be up in the air, the Daily Record reports.

She explained: “I think with the kids too, a lot of times things aren’t confirmed in advance, they’re all 10 and under so they make decisions about the kids a lot closer to the time.

“So I think they will put them first, they will do what is best for the children. That is their absolute priority in absolutely everything the Welsh do.”

Although the attendance of some members of the royal family remains uncertain, the king has already confirmed that he will take part in Trooping the Color despite his cancer treatment.
