A murder investigation has begun in Cornwall following the death of a woman

A murder investigation has been launched in Cornwall following the death of a woman in the Liskeard area. Devon and Cornwall Police were alerted to the incident by the ambulance service this morning.

A woman was found dead in a secluded property near Merrymeet, Liskeard at around 8.40am today, Saturday 15 June. Officers attended and her next of kin were informed.



A 75-year-old man from the Liskeard area has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time. Devon and Cornwall Police say the deceased and the suspect are believed to be acquaintances.
