Royal Enfield has adopted a rather aggressive launch strategy. It announced that it plans to launch a new product every quarter. Recently, it released Scram 411, a toned down version of the popular Himalaya. Now, Royal Enfield is looking to launch a much more powerful version of the Himalayan, the Himalayan 450. The Himalayan 450 was recently spotted testing in India. In today’s article, we will see Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spotted.

What was spotted?

The pictures of Himalayan 450 were posted by Powerdrift on their social media handles. In the spy shots, we can see a completely redesigned frame compared to the current Himalayan. We can also see 21-inch spoked wheels, a raised front fender, round headlights and a small windshield. Other things that can be noticed are the upward exhaust and the spilled seat setup. We can also notice a new fuel tank and a new instrument cluster holder. It will get USD forks up front, while the Himalaya used to get conventional telescopic forks.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be powered by a liquid-cooled 450cc single-cylinder engine. This engine will produce a power of 40 hp. The torque figures of this bike are yet to be revealed. Like other off-roaders, it will focus on offering better low- and mid-range performance.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to start from Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This price will make it cheaper than its competitors like KTM 390 Adventure (3.28 lakh) and BMW G310GS (3.05 lakh). The Himalayan 450 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2023.
