I hung out with the ‘poor Swifties’ on Taylor Swift’s third night and had the time of my life

It’s safe to say that Taylor Swift’s last night of shows in Liverpool was her best ever.

The weather started very ominously, with Swifties seeking shelter as they queued on Saturday morning drenched and wearing ponchos. Fortunately, as the day wore on, despite the fact that there was a slight chill in the air, the sun was golden and warm.

Almost instantly, the day was very different from Friday, with many more families heading to the show. The best part was that even those who didn’t manage to get tickets were still having a ball.

Scores of fans were perched outside Anfield with picnic blankets and drinks, swaying to the sound of Taylor Swift singing in the distance. It was lovely to see how many people were enjoying family time and being a part of this momentous occasion.

We spoke to Jules ‘lilmiss’, a DJ from Newton-le-Willows who described herself as a ‘poor Swiftie’ as she enjoyed a picnic and some gin with friends. It was great talking to all the families who couldn’t get tickets who were still there to enjoy themselves.

After talking to the fans outside Anfield I went to Stanley Park which was cool to say the least. There were picnic blankets galore and the sun was shining as the kids did cartwheels in the long grass and sang their favorite Taylor songs.
