Taylor Swift is emotional as she makes Liverpool swear in her final message to the city

Taylor Swift promised to be back soon in her Liverpool farewell message.

The 34-year-old played the last of three Eras Tour shows at Anfield this evening. The world’s biggest pop star brought the curtain down on an incredible few days in Merseyside with another memorable sold out show in L4.




Taylor was stunned by the standing ovation she received in the city as Liverpool created a special atmosphere for the pop star. It was Taylor’s first time performing in Liverpool and she promised it wouldn’t be the last in her final message before performing Karma to close Saturday’s show.

She told fans: “Liverpool, I love you so much, I will always come back to see you. Thank you for an unforgettable night, you have given us so much.”

It was another special night at Anfield on Saturday and Taylor was determined to soak up the moment. At one point during the performance, the musician pulled out her ear and was visibly emotional before grabbing the microphone to thank her fans.

She said: “It’s truly an honor to play in front of such crowds. I love you so much Liverpool, thank you.” During yesterday’s show, Taylor said Liverpool had made an “amazing impression” on her and the Merseyside leg was particularly important to the singer. Thursday’s concert marked the 100th performance of the record-breaking Eras Tour, which will conclude in December.
