Childs Hill Labor councilors have welcomed Barnet Council’s action on housing affordability after research revealed the ward is one of the most expensive places to buy in Barnet.

Figures from property website Zoopla showed the average property price is £885,000 in Childs Hill, the second most expensive sector in the borough, only behind Garden Suburb.

Childs Hill councilor Nigel Young said: “House prices in Childs Hill are out of control. It’s great to see Barnet Labor Council taking action on affordability across the borough, whether it’s the upcoming introduction of a charter for private tenants or securing 1,000 new council homes by 2026.”
