Live updates as police close several roads in Bootle

Police have closed several roads in Bootle following an incident.

Part of Washington Parade, Merton Road and Pembroke Road are closed to motorists and pedestrians.

The nature of the incident is still unknown, but we have contacted Merseyside Police for more information.

Traffic site Inrix said: “Washington Parade both ways closed due to crash from Merton Grove to Strand Road.”
