The Fletchers’ Family Farm is giving fans the chance to ‘become a farmer for a day’

Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has announced that fans will soon be able to join him on his Cheshire family farm. Kelvin, wife Liz and their family moved from Manchester to their farm in the village of Wincle, near Macclesfield, in 2022 and shared their journey on the ITV show Fletchers’ Family Farm.

It’s proved a huge success – with filming starting on a second series – and now Kelvin and Liz have announced they’ll be opening up their farm to fans for a special event this month, where guests can book to become farmers in life. day. Due to being a private working farm, Fletchers Farm is only open to the public on certain days and occasions.




Kelvin and Liz have hosted open days in the past for Christmas and the spring lambing season. Now the family have announced their new special ‘Farm with the Fletchers’ event on Saturday 29th June. The event is open to adults at £95, while children over the age of 7 can also attend, with tickets priced at £60. , reports the Manchester Evening News.

Writing on the Fletchersonthefarm Instagram page, the couple said: “Come and Farm with the Fletchers! Many of you have been asking us if it is ever possible to “be a farmer for a day”, well now you can! Places are limited but come and join us and you will roll up your sleeves and do all the work required to run a family farm.

“From noise reduction to electric fencing and sheep handling to tractor driving, you’ll get a unique and hands-on experience as you discover new skills, learn and understand more about farming. And of course you have a lot of fun!”

Lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price and tickets are only available for a ‘limited number’. Bookings are now live on the ‘Farm with the Fletchers’ eventbrite page here. Following the success of Fletchers’ Family Farm, it has been announced that the show will return to screens later this year with a second series. Due to screen in winter, the show will follow the Fletcher family on their continuing journey into farming.

ITV said the new 10-part series will feature more adventures as the family expand their herd, as Kelvin welcomes a herd of pregnant cows to the farm and as they face an emotionally charged lambing season. Kelvin said of the news last month: “We are incredibly excited to be back filming series two of Fletchers Family Farm. The response from our viewers has been truly heartwarming and inspiring!”
