‘My heart hurts. I just exist now’: Car crash victim’s mother tells of heartache as driver jailed

They used Cory Sewell’s sentencing at Wolverhampton Crown Court to bid a “final farewell” to the 26-year-old, who had just won his dream job, beating 1,000 applicants before he was killed.

After CCTV footage of the horrific car crash on Pencricket Lane, Rowley Regis, in the early hours of April 29 last year was shown, the Ismail family told the court of their grief over the loss of Hamse.
