Dr Michael Mosley Forced To Address Fans And Tells ‘I’m Not’

TV doctor Michael Mosley was forced to send a message to fans after he was “made aware” of an image circulating on social media.

The health and fitness guru, who founded the 5:2 diet, regularly appears on shows such as This Morning. He is also known for sharing health tips in his many books and on his BBC podcast, Just One Thing.

But on Friday, he shared a different kind of update altogether. He told his 82,000 Instagram followers that he had been the subject of a scam that was said to be doing the rounds.

The doctor said, “Hello everyone. I was informed that a scammer is using an AI of my image to sell blood pressure tablets on Instagram.

“I am in no way affiliated with this company. If you see this post, please report the account and don’t get involved. Thank you Dr Michael Mosley.”

Dr Mosley is not the first celebrity to use his image in this way. Last year, Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver issued a heartfelt apology to fans after being inundated with similar messages.
