Coventry Swan Lane raid saw ‘rifle, machetes and drugs seized’

Police seized a rifle, machetes and a stash of drugs after executing a warrant in Coventry. Officers searched an address in Stoke yesterday (Friday June 14).

Officers from the County Directorate and the Serious and Organized Crime and Exploitation Unit found the weapons and drugs, including heroin and cocaine, at an address on Swan Lane. A number of live rifle cartridges were also seized.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify those connected to them, West Midlands Police said. Anyone with information has been urged to call 101.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We work every day to get dangerous guns and drugs off the city’s streets. We urge anyone who suspects suspicious activity in their area to contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Tell them what you know, rather than who you are.”
